1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Recruit Canvas, including our website, applications, and related services. By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be able to form a binding legal agreement to use the service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate account information and to update it as needed.
3. Description of the Service
Recruit Canvas provides tools to help users create, analyze, tailor, review, and export resumes, cover letters, interview-prep materials, and related job-search content.
Features may change over time, and we may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of the resumes, job descriptions, answers, documents, and other content you submit to the service.
You grant Recruit Canvas a limited license to host, store, process, transmit, display, and use that content only as necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the service.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit the content you provide and that doing so does not violate any law or third-party rights.
5. AI-Generated Output
Recruit Canvas uses automated systems and third-party AI providers to generate and analyze content. Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, generic, outdated, or unsuitable for your situation.
You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and deciding whether to use any generated output before sharing it with employers, recruiters, or any other third party.
Recruit Canvas does not guarantee that generated output is factually complete, legally compliant, employer-approved, or optimized for any specific applicant tracking system.
6. No Employment or Hiring Guarantee
Recruit Canvas does not guarantee interviews, callbacks, offers, recruiter responses, hiring outcomes, salary outcomes, or success with applicant tracking systems.
Any scoring, recommendations, gap analysis, or interview-prep output is informational only and should not be interpreted as a promise of results.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not use the service to violate the law, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, impersonate others, distribute malware, interfere with the service, scrape or reverse engineer the service except as permitted by law, or submit content you do not have permission to use.
You may not use the service to create fraudulent application materials, misrepresent qualifications, or engage in deceptive conduct toward employers or other third parties.
8. Fees, Billing, and Refunds
If you purchase paid features, you agree to the pricing, billing terms, renewal terms, and refund terms presented at the time of purchase.
Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable to the fullest extent permitted by law. We may change pricing prospectively.
9. Intellectual Property
Recruit Canvas and its software, workflows, branding, interface, and related materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no rights are granted to you in our software, branding, or platform content.
10. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk for the service or other users, or if we are required to do so by law.
You may stop using the service at any time. Certain provisions of these Terms will survive termination, including provisions relating to ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution.
11. Disclaimers
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or availability.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that defects will always be corrected.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recruit Canvas and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, or reputational harm arising from or related to your use of the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Recruit Canvas and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and service providers from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your content, your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law or third-party rights.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
